On behalf of BMM executive committee, I would like to thank you all for your support and active participation in BMM projects and initiatives. BMM organization is now stronger with 52 Marathi Mandals in North America. My special welcome to a new addition to BMM family : Ann Arbor Marathi Mandal.
We want to be one voice for rest of the world. All of you put in lot of hard work with your mandals so be visible to the world through BMM. In order to continue our relationship in 2010 and beyond, it is very important that mandals are registered and are members of BMM. Here are some of the benefits member mandals enjoy:

1. Voting rights for choosing BMM committee members as well as resolution of common issues.
=> Please keep in mind only registered mandals who have paid membership dues every year are eligible to vote as well as eligible to send their representatives to run for BMM committee positions in July 2011.

2. Talent Transfer (Ekankika spardha, and other talent competitions)
=> Mandals can arrange programs with local artists by getting financial help from BMM. Such list is available on BMM website.

3. Marathi Shala for our children
=> Exams and certificates provided by BMM and Bharati Vidyapith. Curriculum worth $65 is free.

 

4. Marathi Movies Project
=> BMM can legally provide Marathi movies for screening with a minimal cost.

5. Guest Programs of Artists from India.
=> Members get preference. Financial details can be worked out based on the mandal size.

6. BMM Web site:
=> Dissemination of Mandal members and their activities thru main BMM website. BMM can allow mandals to host their web sites free of charge.

7. Global visibility:
=> Participation in various activities that may be available from India or other countries.

As of today, 38 mandals are BMM members. We have not received membership dues from the following mandals. BMM treasurer Ajay Dandekar (ajay.dandekar@ gmail.com) is your contact for the payment.
